Es handelt sich hier um einen kleinen Platz in der Ortsmitte von Marienhafe und unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft der historischen Kirche, welche auch mit dem Seeräuber Klaus Störtebeker in Verbindung gebracht wird. Mit der Umgestaltung soll der bisher abgeschirmte Platz geöffnet und für Einheimische sowie Touristen besser nutzbar und attraktiver gemacht werden.
